LG has officially announced the V10 smartphone, featuring dual screens and dual front cameras.

LG has today unveiled the V10, a high-end smartphone with a unique dual-screen feature. The V10 will be marketed as a premium version of the LG G4, with the focus being on higher quality construction materials. There’s an interesting mix of metal trim and textured silicone which helps to give it a unique appearance. The volume rocker remains on the rear much like other devices in the line-up, though it now has an additional fingerprint sensor included. The addition of a news ticker-style display above the main screen allows a constant stream of information which can be customised according to the users needs.

Internally, it’s much the same as the existing LG G4. It uses the Snapdragon 808 and 16 megapixel rear camera, while the 3,000 mAh removable battery has also been carried across. The panel is slightly larger at 5.7-inches but it still carries the same QHD resolution. RAM gets a small bump to 4GB which should help it to benchmark slightly higher overall. Oddly, the LG V10 has two front-facing cameras with differing fields-of-vision. Both are 5 megapixel shooters, with one having an 80-degree lens and the other a 120-degree lens.

The LG V10 will ship in 5 colours: Space Black, Luxe White, Modern Beige, Ocean Blue, and Opal Blue. Internal storage is 64GB which will be further expandable via microSD. At the moment it’s only confirmed for Korea, however a wider rollout should be expected in the near future.
