LG confirms case for non-existent phone

It sounds preposterous but in a tongue in cheek announcement LG announces a new case for the LG G5.

As we all know the G5 hasn’t been announced yet and it will of course be announced on the first day of Mobile world Congress, the 21st of February. The new Quick Cover will allow future G5 users to answer calls, as the case is made from semi-transparent mesh. Just like the LG K10 Quick Cover View, users will be able to interact with the screen without having to open the case.

There’s also a cut out at the top of the screen for the always-on display. Through secondary always-on display you’ll be able to view the time, date and incoming calls.

The LG G5 has been leaked incessantly leaked and LG’s press release is playing on that joke by saying “visitors to MWC are encouraged to stop by LG’s booth in Hall 3 of Fira Gran Via to see the LG Quick Cover and the rumored LG G5 for themselves.”
