Want to splash out on a tablet but don’t have the money for said splashing? Amazon has you covered in the US at the very least. The company has made its Kindle Fire HDX available on a payment plan that ensures you won’t have to spend all your money in one go.

The plan is a quarterly one, so expect to be paying every three months. Plans different with each model of the slate. If you opt for the 7-inch Wi-Fi model with 16GB of storage and Special Offers then you can expect to pay some $57 each payment. Increase either the size, storage or cellular options and you’ll obviously be spending more.

The plans are also interest free. However if you fail to pay up at any given time than Amazon will block your tablet’s access and you risk losing your account. Now that the company has made the Kindle Fire HDX available on this plan, will its other products follow suit?
