LG isn’t taking the holiday season off in terms of announcements. The company has just revealed the LG Gx for release in Korea. It’s a phone that’s similar to the LG Optimus G Pro, though there are a few key differences.
The highlight of the LG Gx is the sizeable 5.5-inch screen that runs at 1080p. The hardware isn’t lacking either, with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 chip packed inside. That’s clocked at 1.7 GHz and is quad-core. The phone runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and has its rear-camera covered with a 13-megapixel snapper. There’s also a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera and a huge 3140 mAh battery which is removable (yay!).
All-in-all it sounds like a pretty solid piece of kit. Sadly it’s only announced for Korea right now, though if the company’s G Flex handset is making it over here then there’s a chance that the LG Gx could too. It comes in black and white and is priced at 800,000 South Korean Won. That boils down to about £465.
