Kickstarter backers plegded over $1 million a day in 2013

Kickstarter has published its 2013 stats, showing what big hearts we all have.

And what hearts they are – the company revealed that over $1 million was donated every day of last year. Specifically, 3 million pledgers gave $480 million to Kickstarter projects. In total, 19,911 projects were successfully funded.

Kickstarter has made a huge impact on just about every industry in the last few years, allowing creators to bypass the middle men in getting their projects funded. Projects have ranged from books and games to even high-profile devices like the Ouya.

The company has a range of other stats on its website. Here’s to another year of crowd-funding.
