Acer has unveiled two new mobile editions to their popular Predator gaming line.
The announcements just keep coming from Acer! Not content with their Continuum smartphone device, the company has also announced two new Android handsets which are aimed at the gaming crowd. Both devices carry the ‘Predator’ moniker, which is the name for the company’s offshoot gaming line.
Predator 6
The Predator 6 is the smartphone variant and carries a 6-inch HD display (resolution unconfirmed), along with an astonishing ten core MediaTek processor and a 21 megapixel camera. As a nice novelty, the phone also has built-in rumble feedback.
Predator 8
The Predator 8 is the larger tablet model and uses the new Intel Atom x7 which came out at the beginning of the year (not SkyLake). It has a much more outlandish design versus the smartphone equivalent, with four red grilles in each corner of the device that also double up as speakers. This enables the Predator 8 to create it’s own virtual surround sound, with audio coming from different portions of the screen according to the action displayed on it. Other features include 32GB of expandable storage and an 8-inch 1920 x 1200 display, giving the tablet a 16 x 10 aspect ratio.
