Fresh benchmarks for the upcoming Kirin 950 system-on-chip have been posted online.
Huawei is busy gearing up for the announcement of their newest flagship Kirin chipset which will take centre-stage against the heavyweights from Samsung and Qualcomm. While we’re all busy wondering just how powerful the chipset will actually be, it seems we don’t have to wait any longer as fresh benchmarks have just been posted over on Geekbench.
They show a pretty strong result for the processor, with a Single-Core Score of 1710 and Multi-Core Score of 6245. While it can’t quite match the current single-core champion, the highly powerful Nvidia Tegra K1 found in the HTC Nexus 9, it’s still manages a solid second place. For multi-core it’s a different story altogether, beating current champ the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge by almost 2,000 points. At roughly 20% higher, it’s a pretty substantial jump.
We’ll have to wait for the official announcement to see just how fast the thing really is but expect it very soon, especially with Huawei preparing their reveal.
