The Huawei Ascend P1 has previously been announced as one of the launch handsets from EE, along with the Nokia Lumia 920, Samsung Galaxy S III LTE and iPhone 5. Now it seems the LTE version of this Android smartphone is set to be exclusive to the 4G network.

EE, formally known as Everything Everywhere, is a joint venture between T-Mobile and Orange and will be the first company to roll out its 4G LTE network here in the UK. It’s set to be fully operational by the end of the year, while rivals O2, Vodafone and Three can do nothing but wait.

The Huawei Ascend P1 LTE comprises a 4.3-inch touchscreen with 960 x 540-pixel resolution display and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, backed by 1GB of RAM. It is let down in the storage stakes with a rather meagre 4GB of internal memory.

You’ll also find an 8-Megapixel camera, which comes with dual-LED Flash, as well as 1.3-Megapixel Front Camera too.

It’s been reported that the battery has been enlarged to a 2000mAh pack, compared to the original 1800mAh of the non-LTE model. No doubt this extra battery pack will help counteract the expected power usage of the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE.

Pricing for the Huawei Ascend P1 on EE, like its other LTE services, has yet to be announced so we’re still unsure how much of a premium the company will be adding for the fastest mobile internet service around.

What do you think? Will you be opting for the Huawei Ascend P1 on EE when it rolls out later this year? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
