TENAA has once again provided us with a fresh leak in the shape of the HTC One X9, which is shaping up to be a mid-range device after all.

The X9 was previously leaked on Weibo, as an advert was shown on the Chinese micro-blogging site. There was speculation that the X9 could be a new flagship device to replace the M series, as there were also leaked specs, revealing a device that would surpass current gen devices. But it seems that the leaked specs are going to be for HTC’s new M-series phone, as TENAA has revealed the true specs of the X9.

We already know the X9 will see a return of front-facing speakers BoomSound, aesthetically it takes note from the A9 with an all metal body and curved edges. It will be bigger with a 5.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution for 401 ppi.

Under the hood is an unknown 2.2 Ghz processor, complimented with 2GB of ram on board. Internal memory will only be 16GB but is expandable via microSD.

The camera will be 13 megapixels like the A9 but will boast a better front-facing snapper with 5 megapixels. The leak also suggests it will run Android 5.0.2 and measure up at 153.2 x 75.9 x 7.99mm and 174g.

We can expect an official reveal soon for the X9, the new M-series will most likely be revealed next year.
