HTC One KitKat update to be certified next week

The HTC One KitKat update is to be certified next week, the company has said.

Apparently the software is now being tested by carriers and should be officially certified at some point next week. The Android 4.4 KitKat notification should then start rolling out to people, although it’s in the hands of others.

HTC originally announced that the HTC One KitKat update would be arriving within 90 days of Android 4.4’s announcement. As Engadget point out, it’s been 84 days since then so the company is only just squeezing this in.

Hopefully we’ll see the update hitting soon.
