Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid will face off in the Champions League final in Milan, here is how you can watch it.
Europe’s most prestigious footballing prize will be fought over in a Madrid ‘derby’ at the legendary San Siro stadium on Saturday 28th of May. BT Sport revealed prior to the Europa League final – the Champions and Europe League finals – will be streamed on YouTube for the UK. BT Sport seem to be carrying out this scheme due to increase dwindling viewership of both competitions.
For those in the UK there are two easy ways to watch the Champions League final. One is the traditional route with BT Sport showing the final on their freeview TV channel BT Sport Showcase, no subscription required, you just need a freeview box (your shiny new TV might already have one).
Watch it on your smartphone
Alternatively you can watch it on the official BT Sport YouTube page. Make sure you have the YouTube app, search ‘BT Sport’ in the search bar, the pinned video should be up and ready on the day.
This means if you’re nowhere near home or a pub, you can watch it straight away on your smartphone, no need for Sky Go!
US viewers can follow this guide from SiliconANGLE to watch the finals on smartphones. Alternatively you can download a VPN but that can cause problems for your device.
Kick-off at 19:45 GMT/2:45 ET, 28th May.
Road to glory
This is the second time both Madrid sides have met in a Champions League final in two years. In the 2014 final, Real thrashed Atlético 4-1 to clinch their record tenth Champions League trophy, in Lisbon. Atlético will be looking for revenge against their local rivals on Saturday.
