Google’s Android One hits Turkey

Google has just announced that Turkey will get its first Android One smartphone, the General Mobile 4G, on May 15th.

The device gets a 5-inch 720p display, Snapdragon 410 processor, 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. The General Mobile 4G will be the first Android One device to offer 4G LTE. The device will cost $263 contract-free.

What is Google’s Android One?

Android One is the company’s affordable smartphone platform. It aims to provide those in developing countries with affordable devices that run Android OS. Google has set a standard to ensure these low-end smartphones give the user a high end experience at an affordable cost.

The tech giant has hinted that other European nations will get an Android One phone.
