Google readying announcement for Mobile Chrome?

Google has posted two live-stream video events on its developer website — and it appears both are for Mobile Chrome.

This is a first for Google, with it having never held an event just for the mobile version  of Chrome — which is currently available for both iOS and Android.

One of the videos aptly titled “Chrome Mobile – Special Google Developer Live Event”, will start on June 7 at 6pm UK time (1pm Eastern), whilst the other simply called “Mobile Chrome – Special Event”, will go live on June 11 at 4pm UK time (11am Eastern).

Rumours have begun to crop up as to what the events may be about, with many thinking that the two events will address both the Android and iOS versions separately. Google may also be prepping extension support for its mobile browsers — which certainly would make sense, given the posting was made on its developer website.

What makes this announcement all the more peculiar is the fact that it comes weeks after Google’s I/O conference, which the company used to unveil a stock Android version of the Galaxy S4, as well as the upcoming redesign of Google Maps.
