Google Play update pushes focus on multiplayer gaming

A Google Play Services update has installed asynchronous multiplayer into the software development.

Did that mean nothing to you? Let us explain – asynchronous multiplayer is basically turned-based gameplay. Think Words With Friends. You leave your word on one device and then your friend goes with his on another.

The update installs this system into the software that Android developers use to make games. In short, it’s now much easier for developers to include this type of multiplayer. And that can only be a good thing, right?
