Google confirms ‘Party Barge’ is a place to learn about new technology

Did you think that Sergey Brin and Larry Page were really going to be break dancing on the top of a boat in the middle of a harbour? Yeah we hoped that would be the case too, but that’s not the case, instead Google has finally confirmed that it is “exploring using the barge as an interactive space where people can learn about new technology.”

We already knew that Google was planning on showing off some of its new products on the barge, with a “high-end showroom” speculated by San Francisco’s local CBS affiliate KPIX 5, but the company hasn’t confirmed whether or not the party deck is still included — which if we’re honest is the only reason we like talking about the barges in the first place.
