Xbox One can read QR Codes, your move PS4

Are you tired of typing in those long 25-digit codes just to redeem a game or an Xbox Live subscription? Yeah us too, that’s why we’re super excited by the latest Vine video from Xbox Live’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, who has demonstrated the next-generation console’s ability to read QR codes with the Kinect 2.

In the video it was demonstrated that by saying the command “Xbox, use a code,” the Kinect will then analyse the room to try and detect the QR code — of course if it fails to detect the code, then you can always just go in and type the 25 numbers in manually, but where’s the fun in that?
