It feels like we’ve been waiting forever to hear the announcement of the new Microsoft CEO. We recently announced that Ford CEO Alan Mulally wasn’t going to be taking Steve Balmer’s job, and now it seems like the final decision has been delayed another month.
That’s according to Recode, that suggests Chairman Bill Gates’ schedule won’t allow for it until February. Being a billionaire is time-consuiming, you know.
Currently there are four candidates thought to be in the running, including CEO Stephen Elop. With Mulally gone, everyone’s chances are improved, although Microsoft Cloud boss Satya Nadella might be a safe choice.
Hopefully next month will see Gates’ schedule clean up and we’ll finally have our answer.
