The United Kingdom won’t see Samsung Galaxy S4s with the Exynos 5 Octa processor.
Instead, the UK offering will be a 1.9GHz quad core processor.
First reported by Omio, Samsung confirmed to What Mobile that Samsung’s new flagship, due to launch on April 26th and debuted last week in New York, would be available as a 4G device with the quad core processor, rather than the 1.6GHz octa-core CPU.
The S4 has long been rumoured to feature Samsung’s new processor, which it has billed as being more powerful and energy efficient, but the company said at its debut that different markets would ship different processors; some would get the new chip and others would run a Snapdragon 1.9GHz chip.
Samsung has said the user interface experience would be the same, regardless of the processor.
