Galaxy Gear update allows for full notifications

Samsung’s smartwatch has had a tough time in its short life. Lukewarm reviews and reports of returns probably weren’t what the company had in mind for it. But now a Galaxy Gear update is here to improve the device ever so slightly.

The Galaxy Gear update adds full notification support from apps. That sounds pretty basic but it’s something that’s been sorely missing from the device. The Galaxy Gear Manager app now allows for most of your Samsung phone’s programs to give you updates.

Previews for emails are also included. It’s not exactly life changing, but it makes the Gear a bit more viable.
