Facebook wants messenger to support games

Facebook has never said that games won’t come to the messenger platform and it appears that they still have a goal to make it happen.

Although their priority lies in ‘lightweight communication’ such as sending people emojis, sound clips and gifs, the Silicon Valley company are keen to expand the applications functionality. According to The Information, Facebook are working with developers to bring games to the messaging platform in the hope of further boosting its popularity. Iyla Sukhar, the executive leading the project, confirmed that talks were in progress though no specific dates have been given. As with most Facebook features, expect it to roll out with little warning and cause a lot of angry users.
