Facebook tools to help breakups

Facebook has made available a new tool to those recovering from a broken heart.

We share a lot on Facebook, some of us share so much that we can actually track what happened in the past few years, with a certain someone. But what happens when the magic ends and you can’t bring yourself to delete him/her out of awkwardness?

Well Facebook is that friend that will help you out, with tools that will keep your ex out of your newsfeed. If the time ever comes for you to change your status to “not in a relationship,” Facebook will prompt you about the new tools.

The tools seem to work more comprehensively than just simply unfollowing from status updates. Their posts won’t show up on newsfeed, profile picture updates won’t show up and Facebook will not suggest their name when tagging pictures.

It also works on the other end, as you’re able to limit what they can see what you like and post.

The torturous task of flicking through old photos, envoking old memories (get another box of tissues) as you decide which photos you need to get rid of to help you move on. Facebook has got your back here, making it a lot more easier to do.

The tools are now available for US users, depending on feedback the tools will then be rolled out further to other territories.
