Facebook has confirmed that Everything Everywhere and Orange will delay selling the HTC First in Europe.
The device, the first to ship pre-loaded with Facebook’s suite of apps, Facebook Home, was due to be made available in the UK exclusively with Everything Everywhere (EE) initially, in the coming months.
However What Mobile’s sister news site Mobile News reported this morning that the device would not go on sale in the UK as planned.
In a statement, Facebook said it had listened to feedback from users and had heard “a lot of great feedback” about how to make Home substantially better, Mobile News reported.
“As a result we’re focusing the next few months on adding customization features that address the feedback we received.”
The social networking giant said as it did so, it would limit supporting new devices and thought it made “a lot of sense” for EE and Orange to hold off deploying the HTC First in Europe.
