eBay to offer 1-hour delivery in London, Argos collection in UK

Unless you’re like me, then no doubt you’ve bought something off eBay, and soon it’s going to be a lot easier for those of you who live in the UK.

According to Engadget, eBay plans on rolling out its “eBay Now” service in the UK, although it’s starting with London first. If you haven’t heard of eBay Now, then it’s a service which enables you to get your purchases to you quickly — in fact you’ll be able to get them delivered within an hour.

Not all purchases will be available on the eBay Now service, so don’t go expecting some sort of Tardis-like vehicle turning up because your package is being shipped from the tip of Scotland, instead eBay Now relies on businesses in your area.

If you don’t live in London, then don’t worry, you’re also going to get a new delivery option, with eBay offering Click-and-Collect via the 150 Argos stores in the UK.

Currently 50 eBay merchants are participating in the Click-and-Collect trial, with those merchants having their products being moved through Argos’ existing distribution network.

eBay isn’t the only company offering Click-and-Collect though, with rival Amazon also offering people the convenience of not having to be home — although it does so using collection lockers rather than a retail partner.
