Double-sided screens coming to Samsung phones

Samsung has been awarded a patent for a transparent screen.

Both sides will have touch capabilities, meaning users will be able to open up and control content without obscuring part of the screen.

A double-sided screen could also make it easier to use the phone with just one hand.

There is no indication if and when Samsung will use the patent. Currently its 2014 portfolio of handsets seems to focus more of curved and flexible screens.
