Deutsche Telekom has bought the remaining parts of T-Mobile’s Czech Republic division in a deal reportedly worth $800 million euros ( £665 million).

The German telecom operator acquired the outstanding 40 per cent stake in  T-Mobile  from investors Mid Europa Partners and Al Ain.

The deal forms part of Deutsche Telekom’s  plan to offer an integrated structure of mobile-phone networks and landlines across Europe.

Last month it also acquired  GTS Central Europe for 546 million euros ( £454 million) in a deal that earned the Bonn-based company a fibre optic fixed-line and infrastructure business in Eastern Europe.

In other T-Mobile news, the network operator is facing opposition from the US Justice Department in regards to its proposed merger with internet service provider Sprint.
