A clear iPhone 7 photo appears

A clear iPhone 7 photo has appeared courtesy of leakster Steve Hemmerstoffer, showing off the back of the device we’re expecting in September.

It’s the clearest image yet we’ve seen of Apple’s next latest and greatest. The image depicts the rear of a dummy unit. Being a leak from the guys at Nowhereelse gives it some substance as they have provided accurate leaks before.

If the rear dummy provided proves to be true, we’ve got some talking points to go over.

iPhone 7 photo op

Firstly the dual-camera system is nowhere to be seen as there’s space only for a single lens. One of the biggest changes rumoured to be made on the iPhone 7 is the presence of a dual-camera system, in the same vein as the LG G5 or Huawei P9. Instead it looks like Apple are stretching the single lens wider, making it much more pronounced. We could be seeing a wider aperture, which would improve low-light photography.

Judging be the size of the photo, we could be looking at the rear of the standard iPhone 7, not the also expected iPhone 7 Plus, which is more likely to have dual-camera lenses.

The antenna bands have been minimised, only stretching on the bottom and top, with no bands going across the face of the rear body, as they did on the iPhone 6s.

Apart from that it, looks like Apple will retain the minimal look, sticking to the distinctive famous design that we expect from Apple. No front-facing image of the iPhone 7 has surface yet, we could well be in for a bigger surprise once we get a look at the face of it.

We should keep in mind we’re quite far from the iPhone 7’s supposed September launch, so not taking this rumour too seriously is advised.
