Clear image of the supposed Nexus 5 surfaces

Google’s Nexus 5 is pretty much a sure thing  at this point, after numerous leaks have seen the device detailed.

Today, we have our clearest look at the phone yet, with the above image providing a good look at the phone’s backing. As you can see, the LG-made phone wears its Nexus branding with pride. The forum poster that leaked this image onto MacRumors also noted that its backing felt similar to its bigger brother, the Nexus 7, and that the display was simply ‘okay’.

Of course, we can’t confirm the image’s validity, although it doesn’t look too far off what we’d expect from the new phone. The Nexus 5 is reportedly set to run Android’s upcoming 4.4 Kit Kat OS (it even showed up in a video for the new service a while back). We also previously heard that the phone will boast a 5 inch display (if the name didn’t give it away), and run a Snapdragon 800 processor.

As for an official announcement? We’d hope it would be sooner rather than later.
