Carphone Warehouse to ship Galaxy Nexus 2 and 32GB Google Nexus 7?

Is Carphone Warehouse about to start selling a 32GB version of the Google Nexus 7 tablet, as well as stock the follow-up to the Samsung-built Galaxy Nexus, known as the Galaxy Nexus 2?

It certainly looks that way as a new image reveals evidence of their existence.

A screenshot of what is believed to be the Carphone Warehouse inventory system has shown up the presence of a couple of highly interesting items. The Asus-built Google Nexus 7 tablet is expected to be the same device simply with more storage on-board.

However, news of the Galaxy Nexus 2 is of more interest as it confirms the phone will once again be supplied by Samsung. While no tech specs are associated with the naming, it’s thought the handset will share the same 4.6-inch screen size as the current Galaxy Nexus.

That said, the Galaxy Nexus 2 is expected to ship with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, an 8-Megapixel camera and the latest build of the Android operating system.

The rumour is being treated as such by all involved, with neither Samsung nor Asus saying anything about either device.

Does this all bode well for the arrival of Android Key Lime Pie, the next iteration of the Google OS, in time for the peak buying season? We’ll have to wait and see but if it is then we can expect an official announcement sooner rather than later.
