BLU brings budget Windows smartphone to European customers.

Only recently after their release in India, mobile phone manufacturer BLU has made their Win HD LTE and Win Jr LTE models available to customers in Europe. The two phones are now for sale on Amazon.

Win HD LTE

The Win HD LTE is 4G-capable, with dual SIM slots (Micro-SIM and Mini-SIM), which means that you can keep your personal phone number separate from your work one while only carrying one phone. It comes with a reasonably good 8GB of data storage, which can be expanded to a further 32GB with a MicroSD card. The 1GB memory is enough for purpose, but watch out for apps (like games) that put a lot of demand on the hardware.

It operates on a mid-range Qualcomm 1.2GHz processor chip, the 410, which has recently been updated by Qualcomm to the 412. Its operating system is Windows 8.1, which will be eligible for upgrade to Windows 10.

The phone comes in grey, white, orange, and a yellow that looks more like a green. It’s available for £99.00 on Amazon.

Like its sibling, Win Jr LTE is 4G-capable, with dual SIM slots (both Mini-SIM). It comes with a rather small 4GB of data storage, but this can also be expanded to 32GB extra with a MicroSD card. With only 512MB (half a gigabyte) of memory, it is not recommended that this phone be used for games or other complex, heavy-duty apps.

It also operates on the 410 Qualcomm 1.2GHz processor chip, which means that it’s capable of handling as much as its memory can tolerate. Again, its operating system is Windows 8.1, which will be eligible for upgrade to Windows 10.

The phone comes in grey, pink, white, orange, and a yellow that looks more like a green. It’s available for £69.00 on Amazon.
