BlackBerry’s ‘budget’ QWERTY device, the Q5, is now available in the UK from most major retailers and networks.
The Q5 was billed as a budget QWERTY offering but its price point of £350 had some scratching their heads. The smartphone features a QWERTY keyboard and BlackBerry 10.1, the newest version of BlackBerry’s mobile operating system. The emphasis is on the youth market with the Q5, with a “youthful design” in black and white initially, BlackBerry said.
Partners who will be stocking the devices in-store and online are Everything Everywhere (EE), Phones 4u, Carphone Warehouse and Vodafone.
Everything Everywhere
The Q5 is available from EE on 4G at £50 with a £26 per month plan, on Orange from £27 per month and from T Mobile from £27 per month.
Vodafone
The device would be available from Vodafone on its Red tariff from £21 per month.
