BlackBerry had promised that BBM fans on Android and iOS would receive all the features that makes the service so great on BlackBerry devices, but you may have a bit of a wait — with video and voice calling scheduled to arrive ‘within months’, according to executive vice-president of BBM, Andrew Bocking.
Video and voice calling were two major features missing from the iOS and Android versions of the software, with BBM Channels also missing — but BlackBerry plan on monetising this service, despite still placing ads on the content.
Video and voice sharing should arrive on the service shortly, with the BBM app already having been downloaded 10 million times on iOS and Android devices within 24 hours of launch, despite not all those people able to access to the service due to a waiting list.
