The Asus Padfone 2 has sneaked online via a number of leaked renders. The Android tablet with pop-out smartphone is set to be slimmer, sleeker and far more desirable than the original Padfone.

Images of the Asus Padfone 2 have leaked online over the weekend, giving us the first glimpse of what looks like being an amazing evolution of the tablet/hybrid device.

Gone is the hatch covering up the smartphone portion. Instead, we have a phone that slots in, allowing you to view and use the smartphone screen with ease.

Little is known about the tablet but judging from the photos, we can expect a 10.1-inch screen, like its predecessor. Nothing more is known about the tablet but it’s believed Asus is set to announce the Padfone 2 tablet/hybrid later this week.

When it comes to Padfone 2 smartphone tech specs, this is set to be based on a 4.7-inch Super IPS+ display that delivers a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It’s set to measure 137.9 x 68.9 x 9mm and weigh 135g.

Other features are thought to include 2GB of RAM, support for 4G LTE networks, a 13-Megapixel camera and 2140mAh battery.
