Short battery life is a problem that has plagued all smartphone users. Whether you’re using Google Maps to locate a restaurant or playing Candy Crush on your commute home, the sight of the screen suddenly going black is a frightening one.

This is one of the main problems that has troubled the iPhone, but it seems Apple is working desperately to try and fix any potential battery life problems that the next generation of iOS devices might have.

The company has posted job listings, as spotted by AppleInsider, for an ‘iOS Battery Life Software Engineer’, an ‘iOS Power Analytics Manager’ and an ‘iOS Software Power Systems Engineer.’

The iPhone 6S is expected to be more powerful than its predecessors, which will potentially have a massive influence on its battery life. Both devices aren’t likely to launch until September, which should hopefully give these new engineers plenty of time to fix any battery life issues.
