To celebrate the impending launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8, the company has constructed a giant ‘Infinity Display’ which will be making various stops around the UK.
Samsung is resting high hopes on the Galaxy S8 after the Note 7 debacle. With the recent Unpacked event now done and dusted, the electronics giant is embarking on a heavy advertising campaign to promote the new flagship handset. The company has commissioned the construction of a huge Samsung Galaxy S8 Infinity Display which measures 7×3 meters. It will be travelling to various photographic locations in the UK throughout April and May. Each of the installation sites have been selected following a public poll to find the 20 UK views that give Brits infinite pleasure. Locations visited to date include St Ives, Snowdon, Stonehenge, Bournemouth and London.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is the latest flagship handset from the Korean electronics manufacturer which features a radical redesign over previous handsets in the line. A new ‘Infinity Display’ covers over 80% of the front face, while the 18.5:9 aspect ratio ensures that it maximises the amount of space available. Inside is the newest Samsung Exynos 8895 CPU with 4GB RAM, plus a 12 megapixel rear camera and 8 megipixel front camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are available for pre-order until 19th April and launch in UK on 28th April. In the UK, the Galaxy S8 will retail at £689 and the Galaxy S8+ will retail at £779.
