LG gives premium smartphone customers free music

Got an LG premium smartphone? Then LG wants to give you high-quality music for free every month.

LG has announced today that it will provide qualifying LG customers with two high-fidelity (Hi-Fi) music tracks per month, via their LGSmartWorld app. This only applies if the phone is capable of playing Hi-Fi files.

Hi-Fi tracks are approximately six times clearer and more detailed than standard MP3 tracks. The high compression of MP3 music is great for on the go, but if you want to listen to a song in near-recording-studio quality, Hi-Fi is the way to go.

“Our Hi-Fi music service reflects our ongoing commitment to providing additional customer benefits to loyal LG customers,” said Chris Yie, vice president and head of marketing communications for LG Mobile Communications Company.
