Winamp app review

Unlike its fruity rival, the Android platform doesn’t have a strong native media player and accompanying PC software with which to organise and sync your music files. This latest effort from Winamp is one of the strongest solutions yet.

Not only is it a decent way to play your music, with the ability to pause and skip tracks on the lock screen, but the PC software is very good indeed. The stand-out feature has to be the ability to synch your music files wirelessly, which is an admirably painless thing to set up. Even iTunes can’t do that.
