Children love pull-out wooden puzzles, where they have to fit shapes into holes by dropping them in. The only problem is the inevitable tears when a shape goes missing.

Thankfully, this isn’t a problem you’ll have with Puzzld, which brings the idea to iPad in virtual form.

It features six puzzles with different themes, although animals are prominent in all of them. Your child drags pieces around the screen with their finger, sliding them into place with a satisfying clunk. Two difficulty levels ensures that even younger toddlers can have fun with it. And it all looks beautiful too.
