Economics and business mag The Economist has always prided itself on its thoughtful nature, and that has translated to its official iPhone and iPad apps, which are available separately on the App Store.
They keep things simple, offering every issue for download with minimal Wired-esque multimedia malarkey.
Existing print and digital subscribers get every issue for free, but you can also buy individual issues for £3.49 each, via in-app payments. The feature we like the best is the option to listen to articles rather than read them, with the voiceovers provided by pro newscasters. Elegant, and very impressive.
