Happy Snapper app review

iPhone photography apps are picking up speed, from creative ones like Instagram through to sillier fare like FatBooth. Which, by the way, has become something of a viral hit, such is the demand for an app that lets people make their friends look porky.

Happy Snapper falls more into the silly camp, but is a cleverer way of having banter with your friends. The developer describes it as a ‘sticker slapper’ app, because you take photos and then in real-time apply virtual stickers with a variety of user-generated slogans.

So, you might superimpose an ‘IDIOT’ cap on a friend who’s posing unsuspectingly for a snap. Or an arrow pointing at your children saying ‘Don’t Feed The Animals’.

Or you might simply want to superimpose a cartoon otter face onto a friend. All of the above are possible – and the ability to change the text on all the stickers means limitless potential for fun (and more importantly, insults).

It’s easy to use, and more stickers are promised in regular updates to keep the fun fresh. Snaps can be shared on Facebook and Twitter, as well as saved to your Photo Library for emailing. iPhones are eminently capable cameras nowadays, but an app like Happy Snapper does a great job of injecting fun into your iSnapshots.
