The Adonit Pro 3: Look no further for a cheap, attractive and precise stylus.
Adonit makes a vast range of styluses for every type of smartphone and tablet touchscreen. These range from Bluetooth-connected styluses to pro pressure-sensitive models for computer graphic professionals. The Adonit Pro 3 is at the cheaper end of the range, being available for purchase for only £15 from Amazon.
For those of you with fat fingers, the Adonit Pro 3 stylus could be a useful addition to your Android or iOS touch-screen smartphone or tablet. It allows precision manipulation of the keyboard, handwriting recognition, and function access.
Aesthetically it is quite attractive and feels as if it has been carved from a single ingot of aluminium. Unlike most styli, the Adonit is tipped with a tiny transparent replaceable plastic disc attached to a ball-and-socket hinge. This is said to create a precise contact point with the screen to write exactly where you place it, but also has been engineered into one piece for added stability. It makes it touchscreen compatible without damaging or scratching the screen surface. It does not however activate the haptic solid-state home buttons of the latest iPhones and Android devices. You’ll still need to touch these with your fingers to activate them, which takes away some of the advantage of using the Adonit stylus.
The stylus’ main claim to fame is utilising your screen’s hand recognition apps with much more precision than a stubby finger. It very nearly matches the precision of writing with a ball-point pen. Certainly if you need an accurate stylus this will do the trick better than a very cheap rubber stylus. And the price is not too high too cause too much pain when you eventually lose it.
