OnePlus DR-1: OnePlus’ April Fools’ drone

OnePlus’ latest “game changer” isn’t a phone, but the world’s smallest remote-controlled drone. It’s called the OnePlus DR-1. And yes, this is an April Fools’ Day joke, but with a difference. You can actually buy the drone.

The drone can stay in the air for between seven to eight minutes and it only needs a 20-minute charge between flights. At 70mm-wide, the OnePlus DR-1 easily fits into your palm and weighs just 12.5 grams.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use your OnePlus device to control the drone. You’ll have to use a clunky controller that’s supplied with the drone instead.

The OnePlus DR-1 is available from the OnePlus site for $19.99 (about £15). You’ll have to hurry as the drone is only available as a limited edition run.
