O2 has today launched a code-cracking competition where participants could have a chance to win a brand new OnePlus 3 handset.
The contest will happen over four days, with customers needing to decrypt a series of illusive codes dotted around London. The first will appear on an O2 billboard opposite the Ace Hotel in Shoreditch. Once broken, it will reveal a secret location and password that players can use to claim their free device. The first person to crack the code every day will win a brand new OnePlus 3.
Each day the code will change, meaning people will need to act quickly if they want to grab the new handset. The promotion comes not long after O2 became first UK mobile operator to stock the handset, dubbed ‘flagship killer’.
OnePlus 3 exclusive to O2
With a Snapdragon 820 and 6GB RAM, the OnePlus 3 is more powerful than most handsets currently on the market, yet only costs a fraction of the price. You can grab the handset on a range of O2 Refresh tariffs, offering 500MB to 20GB data with no upfront cost. Prices include £28 per month for 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data, and £35.50 per month for unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 3GB data.
