Android 8.1 Oreo will now be available for upgrades on Wileyfox Swift 2 range.
British mobile brand Wileyfox have announced the software upgrade to its entry level low range swift 2 smartphones due its long standing partnership with Google.
The partnership has enabled Wileyfox to offer a pure version of Android, 6.0.1 Marshmallow, as well an upgrade to 7.12 Nougat.
Wileyfox will now deliver the Oreo operating system (OS) across the range via a Software Update.
The Android 8.1 Oreo upgrade offers a Picture-in-Picture mode where you watch videos in a pop out screen while utilising other features on the smartphone.
There are a series of helpful notification dots across the applications, with battery life optimisation tools like limit settings and location usage.
The partnership with Google also enables Wileyfox to include required monthly security updates from Google.
Wileyfox is also offering the debut of its Wileyfox CARE applications giving customers the option to use its 24/7 live chat helpline with technicians available at a push of a button.
Wileyfox Care was developed by in-house partners STK, it uses ROM embedded software that essentially helps update and maintain the smartphone.
