There are two types of people in this world: those who want a Tesla, and those who haven’t heard of Tesla.

For the uninitiated, Tesla is a relatively new brand of luxury motor vehicle. These vehicles are all electric, gorgeous to look at, kitted out with fantastic gadgetry, and eye-wateringly expensive.

Most of that fantastic gadgetry is built in to the car, usually via its massive touchscreen console, which serves as a central hub for all of its features – from the sunroof to sat-nav to engine diagnostics.

One of the perks of making an electric car with an on-board computer, though, is that its a lot more easily hacked. That’s not a bad thing though, as mobile innovations firm BNOTIONS has highlighted.

It’s created an app called Tesla Command (sounds good already, right?). Created specifically for the Android Wear mobile wearable platform, Tesla Command allows you to access a variety of the Tesla’s functions remotely. Unlocking the car, opening and closing the sunroof, and even honking the horn are all shown off, with the possibility of more functionality to come.

Take a look at the video above, in which BNOTIONS VP of Mobile Matthew Patience walks you through the app using what looks like a Samsung Gear Live  smartwatch on a Tesla Model S, the company’s flagship saloon.
