Vodafone is allowing UK customers to pre-order the HTC Desire S ahead of its release on April 8th, offering it free on a £30 a month, two-year contract. It has also confirmed it will be releasing the HTC Wildfire S and offering the Nexus S in both black and white.

Powered by Android 2.3, the new Desire S has a 3.7-inch Super-LCD display, HD video recording and a front-facing camera for video calling.

The network is also going to be releasing the HTC Wildfire S in a choice of three different colours. The Wildfire S offers significant improvements, especially the higher-resolution display, over the original and is likely to become a very popular mid-tier smartphone.

Vodafone is also offering the Google Nexus S in black, along with the new white variant, for free when signing up to a £35 a month, two-year deal.

The handsets can also be purchased on 12 and 18-month contracts.
