Vodafone launches Google Nexus One in UK

The 5-star rated (What Mobile, April 2010 issue) smartphone will be available free of charge when you sign up to a £35 a month, two-year contract. 18-month contracts are also available, with line rental available from £25 per month.

Contrary to what was presumed at the time, the Nexus One will be available in both Vodafone stores and via telesales and the web.

A generous 1GB data allowance is included with the phone, plus a further 1GB allowance for use at premium BT Openzone hotspots around the UK.

The announcement ties in well with the recent announcement that Google has launched its navigation service in the UK, as well as news that the Android Market has now exceeded 50,000 apps.
