Three has launched 0.facebook.com, a lightweight and optimised-for-speed version of Facebook that is free to access Facebook on a Three mobile phone.The 0.facebook.com site is designed for speed, taking away graphics and photos from pages. Three is sponsoring the service, ensuring users can access the site without incurring any data charges at all, or using up any inclusive data on the account.
Photos and other media can still be accessed, with users being prompted that they are leaving the free site. Standard charges will then apply (which, if you have any inclusive data allowance will continue to be free).
Three is guaranteeing free access to 0.facebook.com for at least one full year.
