A new Sony Xperia device was spotted for sale on a classified Croatian ads site, long before the expected announcement in September.
Xperia Blog discovered for sale a Xperia F833X on website Njuškalo, with pictures and description. Of course the listing has since been taken down, but not before all details have been copied down.
According to the seller the new Sony Xperia flagship is a “new model of the Xperia X Performance” with a 5.1-inch screen, 23-megapixel rear-facing camera, 12-megapixel front-facing and 3GB of RAM.
Clear pictures of Sony’s supposed next flagship device appeared last week and they match up with the images provided with the advert. With such clear images of the new device an announcement in September is looking likely, Sony tend to release an update of their flagship or a whole new one every 3-4 months.
Matching up with the new Sony Xperia flagship
The specs on the advert match up with other leaks, except the leak specified a 21-megapixel rear-facing shooter. It’s looking to be an upgraded Xperia X performance, possibly with the Snapdragon 821 in tow. We also saw pictures of the apparent new Sony device, adopting for the first time in Xperia history, a full-metal chassis.
This should all be taken with a pinch of salt as anyone could have put that advert up. We will know more come September at IFA in Berlin.
