After online retailer Clove jumped the gun on announcing that the Sony SmartWatch 2 was coming to the UK on July 15, it seems that it has finally gone back on that announcement with a date more in line with Sony France’s previous announcement.
Whilst this means those of you hoping to get your hands, or wrists even, on the SmartWatch 2 will now have to wait until September 9, the price still remains the same — meaning you’ll still be getting a bargain when compared to your European counterparts.
Sony never confirmed the July 15 date, so we did take the announcement with a pinch of salt, although we can’t help but feel a little disappointed — after all the smart watch battle is just beginning to hot up.
Clove has dispensed of all responsibility with the mix-up, claiming that Sony’s distribution arm simply got the wrong end of the stick.
