Originally rumoured for release only in Asian markets, Sony Ericsson has now announced that the T707 will be coming to the UK.
The fashion phone has a range of cool features to set it apart from the crowd, from unique coloured illumination for each of your best friends, to gesture controls that allow you to busy calls by simply waving your hand over the screen (presumably for your not-so-best friends).
The clamshell follows in the footsteps of the S500i, by offering lighting effects and themes that change at different times of the day. It will also be produced in a range of colours (Mysterious Black, Spring Rose [pictured] or Lucid Blue). On the outside of the phone is a hidden OLED screen for showing new messages, missed calls or the time.
The T707 is no slouch when it comes to downloading email or accessing the net, with 3G and HSDPA support making it quick to surf the net, stream YouTube video or update your status. A 3.2-megapixel camera and media player finish things off nicely. For texting, the improved chat view offers threaded conversations using standard SMS. Gamers will appreciate its ability to run motion controlled games.
The phone will be released in Q2. Price £TBC.
